Brigadier Gulam Ahmed Siddique (Retd)

Brigadier Gulam Ahmed Siddique is an Elite Sports Administrator who has had the unique opportunity of having held important functional appointments in the Commonwealth Games 2010, Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 as well as Managerial positions to lead Indian Contingents in Cricket and Hockey to prestigious International Tournaments abroad.

Having had a distinguished career spanning over thirty seven years in the Indian Army, Brigadier Siddique who has been Chairman, Army Sports Control Board and Secretary, Services Sports Control Board has been responsible for planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring fitness training of troops as well as formulating the Sports Policy of the Indian Army.

His vast experience in diverse sporting activities such Manager of Indian Cricket Team for Triangular Series in Sri Lanka and Singapore as well as Manager of Indian Hockey Team in Test Series in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Belgium and Indo – Pak Series and also Member of Tour & Fixture Committee of BCCI has made him to be one of the most sought after Sports Administrators in the country. Additional appointments such as Joint Secretary, Indian Hockey Federation, Vice President, Indian Boxing Federation, Vice President Taekwondo Federation, Vice President Winter Games Federation, Manager Indian Kabaddi Team Asian Games Bangkok, IOA Observer for Commonwealth Games Kuala Lumpur has honed his skills as a shrewd planner and decision maker in sporting arenas around the country.
